Museum of Art

Designed as the headquarters of the Prefecture, the building in which the museum operates is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Targoviste, dating from the end of the 19th century.
The museum has a particularly valuable heritage of Romanian art: frescoes, icons, vintage furniture and modern and contemporary works of art signed by Nicolae Grigorescu, Nicolae Tonitza, Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petrascu, Stefan Vasilescu, Bob Bulgaru, Nicolae Darascu, Sava Hentia, George Demetrescu Mirea.
