About
Since the academic year 1992-1993 Faculty of Technical Sciences and Technology was founded at the University Valahia by Government Decision no. 288 / 01.06.1992.
From the academic year 1993 -1994 Faculty of Technical Sciences and Technology changed its name into the Faculty of Engineering.
In 1995 Faculty of Engineering is divided into Faculty of Materials Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Currently the two bachelor`s programs of faculty are either accredited ( Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering).
Since 2005 Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering changes its name to Faculty of Materials Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics.
The mission of the Faculty can be synthesized as follows:
- training competent engineers with both the industry and for research and education.
- serves the scientific and technological center for industrial enterprises operating in the area.
- training complex future specialists enables them to effectively use systems and equipment, apply modern techniques of production and new technologies in various fields.
- training future specialists is made on the basis of flexible curricula.
Doctoral School of Mechanical Engineering was accredited by the Order MECTS no. 4966 / 31.08.2010, after the evaluation made by committee of the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Spot.
Since the academic year 2012 - 2013, Faculty of Materials Engineering Mechatronics and Robotics change its name to the Faculty of Engineering Materials and Mechanics.
